The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has officially declared Morocco as the winner of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations following a dramatic reversal of the final match outcome.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

According to Nivo News, the CAF Appeal Board nullified the initial result of the final and awarded a 3-0 victory to Morocco over Senegal after reviewing events that transpired during the decisive encounter.

Morocco’s triumph was confirmed after the Appeal Board ruled in favor of the Fédération Royale Marocaine de Football (FRMF), overturning an earlier decision and recognizing the North African side as champions of the tournament. The development followed chaotic scenes in Rabat, where Senegal’s national team, popularly known as the Lions of Teranga, reportedly abandoned the pitch in protest, prompting disciplinary review.

In its official statement, CAF disclosed that the Appeal Board invoked relevant provisions of the tournament regulations, concluding that Senegal’s actions constituted a breach. As a result, the team was deemed to have forfeited the final match, with the outcome recorded as a 3-0 win in favor of Morocco.

The ruling further confirmed that Morocco’s appeal was valid and upheld, leading to the dismissal of the earlier decision by the CAF Disciplinary Board. It was also determined that the conduct of the Senegalese team fell within the violations outlined in the competition’s regulatory framework. Consequently, Senegal was found to have infringed the applicable rules, resulting in the forfeiture of the match.

CAF added that all other requests and motions presented in the case were rejected, thereby bringing closure to the dispute and cementing Morocco’s status as champions of the 2025 AFCON.
