In response, the Peter Obi Media Reach (POMR) spokesman, Ibrahim Umar, dismissed the allegations as false, emphasizing that Obi consistently distances himself from transactional politics and does not pay individuals to promote causes. Umar stated that Obi’s engagement relies on persuasion and encourages collective action to improve the nation.
“Normally, we would not dignify Bwala’s baseless accusations with a reply, given his history of dishonesty. However, we feel it is necessary to address this matter to prevent the public from being misled,” Umar said. He added that Obi excludes individuals like Bwala from his political activities and prioritizes good governance and societal improvement over transactional schemes.
Umar further noted that Obi’s leadership style focuses on voluntary participation and shared vision rather than monetary incentives, urging critics to abandon greed and join in efforts to build a new Nigeria.
