“I am deeply saddened by the explosions that occurred in parts of the metropolis on Monday evening. My thoughts and prayers are with the families of the victims and those injured as a result of the blast,” Zulum said, adding that the act was “utterly condemnable, barbaric, and inhumane.”

The governor suggested that the renewed attacks may be in response to ongoing military operations against insurgents in the Sambisa Forest and other hideouts in the region.

Despite the tragic incident, Zulum reassured residents that the military and other security agencies remain vigilant and are taking measures to prevent further attacks. He appealed to the public to remain calm, continue with lawful activities, and cooperate with security operatives.
