Tinubu described the attacks as tragic but insisted they reflect the weakening state of terrorist groups under sustained pressure from Nigerian security forces. He stated that such acts are desperate attempts by criminals seeking to spread fear as they face increased military operations across various regions.
The President reaffirmed that security agencies would continue to strengthen operations against all forms of criminality nationwide. He also commended the bravery of the armed forces for successfully repelling coordinated attacks on military positions in the state, praising their resilience and commitment to safeguarding the country.
As part of immediate response measures, Tinubu directed top security chiefs to relocate to Maiduguri to oversee and coordinate operations on the ground. He further revealed that additional equipment and operational support had already been approved during a recent high-level security meeting to enhance the effectiveness of ongoing counter-insurgency efforts.
In addition, emergency management agencies have been instructed to provide urgent medical care and support to victims of the attacks. Reiterating his administration’s resolve, the President assured Nigerians that security forces would track down those responsible and ensure they are decisively dealt with, stressing that the nation will not yield to intimidation or fear.
