Kuti proposed that any pastor asserting miraculous powers should be subject to medical verification at Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH). He emphasized that claims should be demonstrable under proper medical conditions and repeated several times in front of experts, rather than relying on anecdotal stories or social media reports.

He gave the example of a miracle involving sight restoration, noting that the claim should be provable in a medical setting and applicable to verifiable cases. Kuti argued that anyone unable to substantiate their claims should be held fully accountable and face strict punishment, including imprisonment, to deter false claims and protect the public from deception.

He stated, “A law should be enacted to prevent anyone from performing miracles without proof. Those who fail to demonstrate their claims at LUTH should face severe penalties. This is necessary to stop fake miracles and safeguard Nigerians.”

Gbenjo’s warning comes amid growing controversy surrounding the late singer’s death and burial arrangements, with reports of disagreements among members of his family.
