“Fani-Kayode Slams Dele Momodu Over ‘Worrisome Cognitive Dissonance’ Remarks”.

Former Aviation Minister, Femi Fani-Kayode, has accused Dele Momodu of exhibiting a “degenerating and worrisome level of cognitive dissonance” following the ADC leader’s recent remarks about President Bola Tinubu.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

According to Nivo News, Momodu, during a Sunday interview on Channels Television, described President Tinubu as a potential dictator and likened his administration to the military regime of the late General Sani Abacha.

Responding on his account on Monday, Fani-Kayode characterized Momodu as sounding “drained, tired and broken” during the interview, adding that his comments were not only disrespectful to the President but also to the Vice President, ministers, senators, and newly appointed ambassadors.

The former minister further suggested that Momodu should leave the ADC and join the APC, likening his current role in the opposition to “a gentle, beautiful, well-bred, well-fed and well-manicured flamingo trapped in a sea of ugly, cruel, loud, angry, starving, cackling and relentless crows and vultures.”

Fani-Kayode wrote, “For my brother Bobby Dee to compare President Tinubu to General Sani Abacha and call him a dictator indicates a degenerating and worrisome level of cognitive dissonance. I love Dele and respect him immensely, but yesterday he sounded drained, tired, and spoke little sense in his interview with Seun Okinbaloye.”

He added, “I humbly suggest he take a break from politics and commentary, regain his composure, and recalibrate his thinking. His remarks were uncharitable and disrespectful to experienced leaders and insulted the collective intelligence of Nigerians. Instead of obsessing over our President and party, he and the ADC should focus on building a credible opposition for the 2027 election.”

Fani-Kayode criticized the ADC, describing it as “a badly patched inflatable life boat with no engine, no sails, no captain, and no direction,” emphasizing that such an ill-prepared party cannot effectively challenge the ruling party.

He concluded, “I appeal to Dele: leave the forces of darkness and join us. You are far too good for the company you keep. Your presence in the ADC is like a graceful flamingo trapped among relentless crows and vultures—it simply does not befit you.”

Gbenjo’s warning comes amid growing controversy surrounding the late singer’s death and burial arrangements, with reports of disagreements among members of his family.

The gospel singer spoke on Tuesday during a night of tributes held in honour of Toluwanisings in Ibadan, Oyo State. He warned against allowing the situation to degenerate into a controversy similar to the one that followed the death of Nigerian singer Mohbad.

Describing the deceased as a devoted Christian and a genuine servant of God, Gbenjo said Toluwanisings was passionate about his faith and had a good relationship with people.

He urged the public to stop fuelling unnecessary controversy over the late singer’s death, particularly through social media platforms such as TikTok and Instagram.

“You can never see Toluwani in the midst of jobless people. He had a good heart. He was a friend to everybody. He served the Lord with all his heart. Don’t turn Toluwani into Mohbad. That madness on TikTok and Instagram must stop. If you are jobless, go and look for a job,” Gbenjo said.
