According to Nivo News, Crayon used his (formerly Twitter) account to criticise Mavin Records’ leadership, including the label’s chief operating officer, Tega Oghenejobo. In his posts, he referred to Don Jazzy as “my boy” but framed his message in a confrontational tone, while labelling Tega Oghenejobo as the “highest criminal.” He also alleged that he lost his mother because of circumstances involving the label, though he did not provide further details.
Crayon, who joined Mavin Records through its Blowtime Entertainment imprint in May 2019, intensified the controversy by declaring, “Mavin is going down!!!!!!” Despite the viral posts, it remains uncertain whether his account was hacked, as he has continued to actively post on Instagram without clarifying any compromise.
In a separate Instagram update, the singer shared details about what appears to be a new venture, Olodum Entertainment, including a new booking email address. This has fueled online speculation that his recently released track, “Baami,” is now listed under the Olodum Entertainment imprint rather than Mavin Records.
The developments have ignited intense discussion among fans and industry watchers over Crayon’s future with one of Nigeria’s leading music labels.
