“Ibadan Pastor Agbala Gabriel Under Fire Over Alleged Sexual Misconduct, Donation Issues”.

An Ibadan-based cleric, Kayode Amusan, widely known as Agbala Gabriel, has come under scrutiny following allegations of sexual misconduct and mismanagement of donations meant for sick individuals.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

The claims have sparked heated debates across social media platforms, where the pastor had previously gained popularity for his humanitarian efforts and charity campaigns.

For several years, the cleric built an online reputation as a compassionate religious leader who frequently mobilised financial assistance for vulnerable people. Videos showing him praying for struggling families and appealing for donations to help the sick often circulated widely on social media, earning him admiration from many Nigerians.

However, that public image has recently been questioned after a wave of allegations began circulating on Facebook, TikTok, and Instagram.

One of the controversies involves a woman identified as Morenikeji, who reportedly suffers from a spinal condition and whose medical case had earlier attracted public donations.

In a video that has since gone viral, Nollywood actress Foluke Daramola revealed that she had previously helped raise funds for the woman’s surgery before discovering that the family later sought assistance from the cleric.

According to Daramola, she stepped away from the fundraising effort after learning about the new arrangement.

She said:
“I initially raised money for the woman’s surgery, which wasn’t enough. But as soon as the family took her to Agbala Gabriel’s care, I withdrew.

“Later, I got to know that Gabriel abandoned them and failed to provide the support of a good accommodation and surgery he promised.”

In the same video, the woman’s daughter claimed she eventually removed her mother from the cleric’s care due to concerns over how the situation was being handled.

Blogger Raises Further Allegations

While the controversy surrounding the medical fundraiser was still gaining attention online, another set of accusations surfaced.

A blogger known as Iyalaje Courtroom alleged during a live broadcast that the cleric had mismanaged donations and engaged in sexual relationships with women within his church.

According to the blogger, one of the women, identified as Bolu, who reportedly served as a backup singer in the church, allegedly became pregnant for the pastor and later gave birth to twins.

The blogger claimed that the relationship began when the woman was about 23 years old.

“She was about 23 when the relationship started and she is now 25,” the blogger alleged.

The claim further stated that the cleric initially denied responsibility for the pregnancy but later accepted it and reportedly rented a house for the woman and the twins.

A charity advocate, Princess Adeyinka, also alleged that she intervened when the issue first surfaced, claiming the pastor initially rejected the allegation before later accepting responsibility.

“Agbala Gabriel impregnated Bolu and refused to take full responsibility initially. I went to him myself to beg him to take responsibility when I first heard about it, which he denied initially but later took responsibility,” she said.

Cleric Denies Allegations

As the accusations continued to trend online, supporters and critics of the cleric engaged in heated exchanges on social media. While some defended his record of charity work, others called for greater transparency regarding the allegations.

Responding to the claims, Agbala Gabriel dismissed the accusations, describing them as attempts to discredit him.

Speaking with Saturday Punch, he said:
“This is how they try to bring ministers of God down.

“All ministers who become famous face these kinds of lies. We see men of God like Pastor Adeboye and other famous pastors being dragged on social media every day. This is just how social media works, making false allegations.”
