Court Suspends DNKI NEC Inauguration, Orders Police Action Against Defendants.
A Federal Capital Territory court has stopped the planned National Executive Council (NEC) inauguration and leadership retreat of the Norsemen Club International (DNKI), directing security agencies to take action against those involved.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
The injunction, issued on Friday by Justice George Basil Okwenna, bars the defendants from presenting themselves as DNKI leaders or conducting any NEC-related events pending the resolution of a substantive lawsuit.
The court further instructed the police and other security agencies to intervene should anyone attempt to carry out the planned inauguration in Enugu.
Key Orders by the Court Include:
-
Prohibiting the first nine defendants from claiming the position of International President or membership of DNKI’s NEC and National Advisory Council (NAC).
-
Mandating the police to investigate and prosecute any defendants participating in the scheduled leadership retreat from March 13–15, 2026.
-
Preventing venues from hosting the purported retreat while investigations into alleged unlawful activities continue.
-
Declaring null and void any resolutions purporting to remove the Board of Trustees, until the conclusion of the legal proceedings.
The DNKI Board of Trustees (BoT) had petitioned security agencies after alleging that the defendants circulated a video falsely suggesting the association engages in blood-sucking practices—claims that contradict the organization’s principles.
Some defendants reportedly ignored police invitations, prompting the court to empower law enforcement to act decisively.
Through an originating summons filed by the BoT, the plaintiffs are seeking, among other remedies, the annulment of the purported election that supposedly installed those slated for the inauguration, arguing that the election violated the association’s constitution.
It is worth recalling that the DNKI BoT had previously petitioned the Inspector-General of Police, urging the arrest and prosecution of the defendants for circulating the video alleging that the association engages in blood-sucking activities.
