Putin’s ‘Hidden Hand’ Behind Iran’s Drone Warfare, UK Says — Sparks Global Shock.

The United Kingdom has suggested that Russia may be influencing Iran’s use of drone attacks in the ongoing conflict involving the United States and Israel.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

UK Defence Secretary John Healey made the remarks on Thursday, claiming that Russian President Vladimir Putin’s “hidden hand” could be behind some of Iran’s tactics in the war, which erupted after coordinated U.S. and Israeli strikes on Iran on February 28.

During a visit to Britain’s military headquarters in Northwood, near London, Healey said officials were examining an Iranian-made drone that struck the RAF Akrotiri airbase in Cyprus on March 1. Investigators are analysing the drone for potential foreign components, including Russian technology, to determine if outside influence played a role.

“We will update you and publish findings when available,” Healey stated. He added that it would not be surprising if Russia shaped Iran’s military tactics, noting that Putin benefits from soaring oil prices amid the conflict.

Russia and Iran have maintained close strategic ties in recent years and agreed last year to cooperate against what they described as “common threats.” However, U.S. President Donald Trump said there is no clear evidence that Russia is actively supporting Iran, and any assistance is not significantly impacting the conflict.

Meanwhile, British military officials see indications of coordination between Moscow and Tehran. Nick Perry, the British chief of joint operations, noted that Iran’s drone deployments appear influenced by Russian tactics, particularly in operational use.

No casualties were reported when the drone struck a hangar at RAF Akrotiri. British jets intercepted and destroyed two additional drones headed toward the base the same day. Additionally, British Army Brigadier Guy Foden reported that UK forces at an international coalition base in Erbil, Iraq, helped shoot down two Iranian drones on Wednesday.

“Igbos Don’t Want A 4-Year President” – Ikonne Fires Back At Peter Obi.

An All Progressives Congress (APC) Abia South senatorial district aspirant, Prince Paul Ikonne, has said that the Igbo people are not interested in a president who would serve only a single four-year term.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

Ikonne made the statement during a media interactive session in Abuja on Thursday while reacting to a pledge by Labour Party presidential aspirant, Peter Obi, to serve just one term if elected.

He dismissed the promise, arguing that when it is finally the turn of the South East to produce a president, it should be for the standard two-term tenure of eight years, like other geopolitical zones in the country.

According to him, political stakeholders in the South East, including governors such as Abia State Governor Alex Otti, are supporting the re-election of President Bola Tinubu in 2027.

Ikonne claimed that Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo State has also established a mobilisation team tasked with sensitising Igbo communities nationwide to support Tinubu’s re-election bid, including door-to-door and market-to-market campaigns.

He insisted that the expected votes for Tinubu in 2027 would come from Igbo populations across the country, not just those in the South East region.

The APC aspirant further argued that the idea of a one-term presidency for the South East is not acceptable, stating that such an arrangement would shortchange the region. He maintained that when the opportunity arises, the Igbo presidency should last the full eight-year cycle.

He also criticized Obi’s four-year promise, questioning its practicality and suggesting that it would waste time in governance processes.
