Breaking: APC Declares Readiness To Unseat Gov Adeleke In Osun Election.

The Director General of the All Progressives Congress (APC) campaign organisation, Oluwole Oke, has expressed confidence that the party’s governorship candidate, Bola Oyebamiji, will defeat incumbent Governor Ademola Adeleke before 10:00pm on election day.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

Oke made the statement on Wednesday during the inauguration of over 800 members of the party’s campaign council ahead of the 2026 Osun governorship election.

He faulted the current administration’s handling of state resources, insisting that Oyebamiji was prepared to “rescue Osun from the drift of collapse” under the present government.

According to him, the APC campaign structure is fully committed to unseating Adeleke, adding that “removing Adeleke is non-negotiable” and that his time in office is almost over.

The party had earlier unveiled members of its campaign council, with Oke appointed as Director General alongside coordinators across the senatorial districts.

Oke explained that the council had already begun mobilisation and grassroots engagement since its formation.

He accused the Adeleke-led administration of failure across key sectors such as education, health, agriculture, and mining, alleging that public institutions in the state were underperforming.

“The incumbent is gone. His days in office are numbered. The government has failed the people of Osun State on all fronts,” he said.

He further argued that paying salaries should not be celebrated as an achievement, stressing that workers’ wages are a basic obligation.

Oke added that the APC is focused on tackling poverty, unemployment, and governance challenges, while promising policies aimed at improving welfare and restoring what he called Osun’s “lost glory.”

He said, “We are experts in removing a sitting governor. We will remove Adeleke before 10:00pm on 15th August 2026. Bola Oyebamiji will win and be declared the validly elected governor of Osun.”

The campaign council is made up of several committees, including Peace and Resolution, Mobilisation, Women and Youth Engagement, Media and Publicity, Legal, Medical, Diaspora, Strategy, Entertainment, and Non-indigene groups, each led by appointed officials.

ADC On Edge As Supreme Court Judgment Delay Sparks Fresh Concerns, Says Magaji Mato.

Published

A Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Magaji Mato, has cautioned that the African Democratic Congress (ADC) could run into serious difficulties if the Supreme Court fails to deliver judgment on a pending appeal within 48 hours.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

Mato said the call for an accelerated ruling is understandable, especially given the political timelines and deadlines set by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

He made the remarks on Wednesday during an appearance on Arise Television’s Morning Show, where he stressed that the case carries major implications for Nigeria’s democratic process.

While acknowledging that the Constitution allows the Supreme Court up to three months to deliver judgment, he argued that the urgency surrounding the matter requires a much quicker decision.

According to him, any delay could render the judgment ineffective and may heighten political tension or even disrupt the electoral timetable.

Mato noted that the ADC’s concern over timing is not misplaced, especially in light of INEC’s election schedule and statutory deadlines.

He also said it is expected that the Supreme Court Justices are aware of the sensitivity of the matter and its broader impact on national stability.

“In a situation like this, where timelines and election preparations are involved, expeditious judgment is not out of place,” he said.

He warned that allowing a delayed ruling could have far-reaching consequences for the electoral process and the rights of political actors to fully participate.

Mato added that while judges are human, they are also expected to act with responsibility in matters that affect the nation’s democratic stability.

He expressed optimism that the court would act swiftly, suggesting that any delay beyond a very short window could create complications with INEC’s timetable for political parties.
