Semenyo scored three goals and provided one assist across five league matches last month, helping City maintain momentum in the title race while extending their unbeaten streak in the league to seven games.

The forward described the accolade as a special milestone early in his City career.

“This is a brilliant moment for me. To win the Premier League Player of the Month award so soon after joining City is something I’ll never forget,” Semenyo said.

“It’s been an amazing start at this club. I’m learning so much every day and already feel like a better player. From day one, I’ve felt welcome, which has allowed me to stay focused on the pitch and perform my best. My goal now is to keep improving and help City achieve the best results. We have a lot to play for, and I’m really excited about the final stretch of the season.”

Semenyo began February with a clinical left-footed finish in City’s 2-2 draw at Tottenham Hotspur, followed by a goal and an assist in a commanding 3-0 win over Fulham. He closed the month with a poacher’s finish that secured a narrow victory against Leeds United.

The forward has now netted 15 league goals this season, with only teammate Erling Haaland (22) and Igor Thiago (18) scoring more in the competition.

Semenyo becomes the second Manchester City player to win the monthly award this season, following Haaland’s recognition in September.

The Social Democratic Party (SDP) presidential candidate, Prince Adewole Adebayo, has declared that those in power are completely unconcerned about the widespread poverty, insecurity, and economic hardship plaguing the country, viewing the very existence of ordinary citizens as a nuisance.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

Adebayo made this statement on Wednesday in Abuja, asserting that the welfare of the people is the least of the government’s priorities. According to him, leaders in government are primarily focused on siphoning public funds for personal luxury rather than addressing national crises.

Key Highlights from Adebayo’s Statement:

  • Neglect of Citizen Welfare: He emphasized that the absence of people-centered governance is why successive administrations have repeatedly failed to tackle poverty, unemployment, blackouts, and insecurity.

  • Selfish Ambitions of the Ruling Class: Adebayo claimed that officials only view citizens as useful once every four years when they need votes, otherwise treating the population’s existence as an inconvenience.

  • A Call to Action for Youths: Urging Nigerian youths to unite ahead of the 2027 presidential election, he stressed that citizens now have the power of the ballot—enabled by technological advancements that prevent old methods of rigging—to oust President Bola Tinubu’s administration and rescue the nation.
