The celebration, held on Sunday, March 8, 2026, brought together congregants, partners, and viewers from around the world for a service of thanksgiving, reflection, and prayer.

Preaching from James 1:2–8, Pastor Joshua urged believers to remain steadfast in faith, noting that trials often strengthen faith and draw people closer to God. She recalled how the late SCOAN founder, T. B. Joshua, overcame setbacks when his programme was removed from national television, responding with prayer and submission—steps that ultimately led to the creation of Emmanuel TV.

Over two decades, Emmanuel TV has expanded its global reach through satellite broadcasting, online streaming, and social media, attracting millions of viewers worldwide. Pastor Joshua acknowledged the challenges but expressed gratitude for God’s guidance in sustaining the ministry.

As part of the anniversary activities, Pastor Joshua and Emmanuel TV partners carried out a humanitarian outreach in Oko Baba, distributing food items, wheelchairs, and financial assistance. Quoting the late T. B. Joshua, she reminded congregants that “true love expresses itself in giving,” highlighting the ministry’s commitment to compassion and charity.

The celebration concluded with prayers of thanksgiving, as congregants and international visitors reflected on Emmanuel TV’s 20-year journey of spreading the Christian message globally.

Gbenjo’s warning comes amid growing controversy surrounding the late singer’s death and burial arrangements, with reports of disagreements among members of his family.

The gospel singer spoke on Tuesday during a night of tributes held in honour of Toluwanisings in Ibadan, Oyo State. He warned against allowing the situation to degenerate into a controversy similar to the one that followed the death of Nigerian singer Mohbad.

Describing the deceased as a devoted Christian and a genuine servant of God, Gbenjo said Toluwanisings was passionate about his faith and had a good relationship with people.

He urged the public to stop fuelling unnecessary controversy over the late singer’s death, particularly through social media platforms such as TikTok and Instagram.
