Speaking at the Church of Christ in Nations (COCIN) headquarters, Yilwatda urged APC supporters in Plateau to set aside any animosity toward the governor. He clarified that he has never had personal issues with Mutfwang, and that their past disagreements were purely political.

The APC chairman also sought prayers as he leads what he described as Africa’s largest political party. He emphasized that, now united under the same political platform, their shared focus is on ensuring peace and progress for the people of Plateau.

“Today, I want to thank God for two reasons. We are united with my brother, Governor Mutfwang, in the same party, and together, by God’s grace and with your support, we will ensure Plateau receives what it truly deserves at both state and national levels,” Yilwatda said.

He stressed that there was never a personal rift between them, adding: “We never had any personal problem or grudges. Our differences were political. Those gaps have been closed, and we are now working together to provide peace, development, and support for our people whenever needed.”

Yilwatda called for unity among supporters, urging anyone holding political grievances against the governor to let go.

“He knows I’m here, and I know where he stands. We have a strong partnership. To anyone listening: if you have any political difference with Mutfwang because of me or for any reason, let bygones be bygones and let peace prevail in our state,” he said.

He also expressed gratitude to the church for its prayers, noting that divine grace has helped him manage the affairs of the ruling party amid its growing membership and internal activities.

Ekiti 2026: Oluyede Challenges Oyebanji To Public Debate, Unveils Reform Agenda.

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate in Ekiti State, Wole Oluyede, has challenged Governor Biodun Oyebanji to a public debate ahead of the June 20, 2026 election, while unveiling policy proposals aimed at addressing what he described as gaps in governance under the All Progressives Congress (APC).....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

Oluyede issued the challenge during a meeting with PDP members from all 177 wards in the state held in Ikere Ekiti on Saturday, saying a debate would give voters a clear comparison of both candidates’ plans.

He highlighted key challenges such as unpaid gratuities, limited access to affordable healthcare, unemployment, poor infrastructure, and weak grassroots economic development.
