US Military Announces Death Of Three American Service Members And Five Wounded.

Published

Iran’s retaliatory strikes have killed three American service members and left five others seriously injured, the US military confirmed on Sunday, marking the first US casualties since the large-scale offensive began.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

The development comes after coordinated strikes by the United States and Israel reportedly eliminated Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, along with several top officials. Tehran has since launched counterattacks targeting American military installations in the region.

According to a source familiar with the matter, the three fallen troops were US Army soldiers deployed to Kuwait with a logistics and supply unit. The individual was not authorised to speak publicly.

US Central Command, which oversees operations in the Middle East, announced the deaths in a post on X but did not disclose the exact time or location of the attack. The command added that several others suffered minor shrapnel wounds and concussions and are expected to return to duty.

In a video shared on Truth Social, President Donald Trump expressed condolences to the families of the fallen and wished the wounded a speedy recovery. He acknowledged that further casualties could occur but said efforts would be made to prevent additional losses.

Trump Says Conflict Could Last Four Weeks

Trump described the deceased troops as “true American patriots” who made the ultimate sacrifice and vowed that the United States would respond decisively.

In a phone interview with the Daily Mail, the president referred to the fallen soldiers as “great people” and warned that more casualties were possible. He also suggested the conflict could continue for about four weeks.

Earlier, Trump had cautioned that military action could result in American casualties. In a video address released Saturday, he said that while losses are a reality of war, the operation was aimed at securing long-term stability.

Central Command characterised the situation as fluid and said it would withhold the identities of the deceased for 24 hours pending notification of their families.

Iran’s retaliatory operations have targeted US bases in Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates following the strikes that killed key Iranian leaders.

The US military also rejected Iranian claims that ballistic missiles struck the USS Abraham Lincoln aircraft carrier, stating that the missiles “didn’t even come close.”

Iran’s Revolutionary Guard has threatened what it called its most intense offensive yet, aimed at Israeli and American military facilities.

In the lead-up to the strikes, Trump had reinforced US military assets in the Middle East, marking one of the largest deployments in decades. The arrival of the USS Abraham Lincoln and three guided-missile destroyers in late January significantly boosted the American naval presence in the region.
