Saudi Arabia Signals Possible Strike On Iran Amid Escalating Gulf Conflict.

Saudi Arabia is reviewing its response options after a drone strike led to a partial shutdown of the Ras Tanura refinery, as a source familiar with government discussions indicated that a coordinated Iranian assault on the kingdom’s oil infrastructure could prompt military action.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

The sprawling refinery, operated by Saudi Aramco along the Gulf coast, was hit by two drones on Monday, amid rising tensions across the Middle East.

In comments to AFP, the source said authorities in Riyadh were still evaluating the circumstances of the strike and determining whether it amounted to a direct act of aggression by Tehran.

“It depends on whether this is viewed as a deliberate attack on Aramco ordered by the Iranian leadership or the action of a rogue drone that strayed close,” the source explained.

“For now, Saudi Arabia is likely to monitor the situation before taking further steps.”

The Ras Tanura refinery ranks among the largest oil processing plants globally and is central to Saudi Arabia’s export capacity.

Nonetheless, the source stressed that the kingdom would respond decisively if the incident is judged to be part of a wider, coordinated effort targeting its energy assets.

Military retaliation could be on the table should Iran be perceived as orchestrating sustained attacks on Saudi oil installations.

As the world’s leading oil exporter, Saudi Arabia depends heavily on the security of its energy infrastructure, making any prolonged assault on Aramco facilities a major national security issue.

The source added that Riyadh could potentially strike Iranian oil facilities if Tehran launches a concerted campaign against Aramco operations.

Gbenjo’s warning comes amid growing controversy surrounding the late singer’s death and burial arrangements, with reports of disagreements among members of his family.

The gospel singer spoke on Tuesday during a night of tributes held in honour of Toluwanisings in Ibadan, Oyo State. He warned against allowing the situation to degenerate into a controversy similar to the one that followed the death of Nigerian singer Mohbad.

Describing the deceased as a devoted Christian and a genuine servant of God, Gbenjo said Toluwanisings was passionate about his faith and had a good relationship with people.

He urged the public to stop fuelling unnecessary controversy over the late singer’s death, particularly through social media platforms such as TikTok and Instagram.

“You can never see Toluwani in the midst of jobless people. He had a good heart. He was a friend to everybody. He served the Lord with all his heart. Don’t turn Toluwani into Mohbad. That madness on TikTok and Instagram must stop. If you are jobless, go and look for a job,” Gbenjo said.

Meanwhile, comedians Ayobami Ajewole, popularly known as Woli Agba, and Olamide Oladimeji, also known as Dele Omo Woli, have threatened legal action against individuals allegedly linking them to Toluwanisings’ death.

Woli Agba disclosed this in a public notice shared on his Instagram page on Sunday.

In the notice issued by their solicitors, Gemgold, the comedians warned members of the public against publishing or circulating allegations they described as false and defamatory against them.
