Celebrations Rock Iran After Reports Of Supreme Leader Khamenei’s Death.

Loud celebrations were reportedly heard in parts of Tehran late Saturday night amid unconfirmed claims that Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei, had been killed in a recent Israeli strike.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

Witnesses said some residents leaned out of their windows shortly after 11 p.m. local time, clapping and playing celebratory music as rumours about Khamenei’s fate spread quickly.

Clips shared on social media and verified by the international news agency Agence France-Presse showed fireworks lighting up the night sky, alongside prolonged whistling and cheers.

As of the time of filing this report, Iranian authorities had not issued any official confirmation.

Earlier, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu claimed there were “many signs” indicating that Khamenei had been killed.

Responding to a question from NBC News, U.S. President Donald Trump said, “We feel that that is a correct story.”

Two Israeli television stations also reported that a photograph allegedly showing Khamenei’s body had been presented to both Netanyahu and Trump, though the claims have not been independently verified.

Israel’s Channel 12 further alleged that “30 bombs were dropped on” the Supreme Leader’s compound during the joint operation.

Despite the sounds of celebration in parts of the capital, reports on social media suggested that residents were not gathering in large numbers on the streets.

Many Iranians remain anxious following last month’s violent crackdown on anti-government protests. The unrest, which began in December over economic hardship in the sanctions-hit country, escalated into nationwide demonstrations by early January, posing one of the most serious challenges to Iran’s leadership in recent years.

Casualty figures from the crisis vary widely. The U.S.-based Human Rights Activists News Agency reported more than 7,000 deaths, cautioning that the real toll could be higher. Iranian officials, however, have acknowledged over 3,000 fatalities, blaming the violence on what they described as “terrorist acts” backed by the United States and Israel.

Gbenjo’s warning comes amid growing controversy surrounding the late singer’s death and burial arrangements, with reports of disagreements among members of his family.

The gospel singer spoke on Tuesday during a night of tributes held in honour of Toluwanisings in Ibadan, Oyo State. He warned against allowing the situation to degenerate into a controversy similar to the one that followed the death of Nigerian singer Mohbad.

Describing the deceased as a devoted Christian and a genuine servant of God, Gbenjo said Toluwanisings was passionate about his faith and had a good relationship with people.

He urged the public to stop fuelling unnecessary controversy over the late singer’s death, particularly through social media platforms such as TikTok and Instagram.

“You can never see Toluwani in the midst of jobless people. He had a good heart. He was a friend to everybody. He served the Lord with all his heart. Don’t turn Toluwani into Mohbad. That madness on TikTok and Instagram must stop. If you are jobless, go and look for a job,” Gbenjo said.

Meanwhile, comedians Ayobami Ajewole, popularly known as Woli Agba, and Olamide Oladimeji, also known as Dele Omo Woli, have threatened legal action against individuals allegedly linking them to Toluwanisings’ death.

Woli Agba disclosed this in a public notice shared on his Instagram page on Sunday.

In the notice issued by their solicitors, Gemgold, the comedians warned members of the public against publishing or circulating allegations they described as false and defamatory against them.

The legal notice maintained that the allegations were baseless and intended to damage the reputations of the two entertainers.

When Akpan sought the court’s permission to adopt his client’s processes, Justice Abdulmalik informed him that the documents had already been deemed adopted.
