The 28-year-old joined after his contract with Danish club Randers FC expired in December. Odey spent four and a half years at the Superliga outfit, initially arriving on loan in 2021 before making the deal permanent.
During his time in Denmark, the forward scored 28 goals in 129 appearances. He previously played for FC Zürich, KRC Genk, and Amiens SC, tallying 83 goals across his career in various leagues.
Debreceni VSC, seven-time Hungarian champions, are banking on Odey to bolster their attack as they aim for success in the upcoming season.
Meanwhile, in England, Samuel Chukwueze is in line to return for Fulham against Tottenham Hotspur this weekend.
The winger missed last week’s 3-1 victory over Sunderland due to a minor calf issue but has been training with the squad. Head coach Marco Silva confirmed his progress.
“Saša (Lukić), Samuel Chukwueze, and others have been in and out of contention, but they’ve had a good week. (Antonee) Robinson is back in team sessions,” Silva said.
“We have another training session, and a decision will be made after that.”
Chukwueze, who joined Fulham on loan from AC Milan at the start of the season, has contributed three goals and four assists in 13 Premier League appearances.
