Addressing attendees, Governor Ododo said the contribution reflects strong grassroots backing for President Tinubu, particularly among young people in Kogi State.

According to him, the gesture underscores the trust Kogi youths have in the President’s vision and reform-driven agenda.

“This effort by our youths shows their confidence in President Tinubu’s leadership and their willingness to support his second-term aspiration. It is a clear indication that Kogi people are solidly behind him,” Ododo stated.

In his response, the APC National Chairman praised the youths for what he termed a voluntary and patriotic initiative. He noted that the move highlights the increasing political awareness and participation of young Nigerians, adding that such support strengthens the party’s outlook.

He also suggested that the donation effectively settles the issue of raising funds for the President’s nomination form.

The ₦100 million raised is specifically designated for the procurement of the APC presidential nomination form ahead of the 2027 polls.

Representatives of the Kogi youths said the funds were mobilised through grassroots fundraising and community contributions, driven by enthusiasm for the President’s policies in areas such as infrastructure, security, and economic reforms.

The APC leadership expressed gratitude for the support and reiterated its commitment to inclusive governance and greater youth involvement in nation-building.
