Police Arrest Nollywood Actor, Stanley Ontop.

Nollywood actor Ajemba Stanley Chibueze, widely known as Stanley Ontop, has revealed that he was arrested by police on Friday.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

According to a post he shared on his Instagram story, the arrest occurred on the premises of Dennis Osadebe University in Asaba, Delta State, where he is studying law. Stanley said the detention followed a petition from an unidentified individual.

He questioned why school authorities allowed police to carry out the arrest without first issuing an invitation. “Some policemen came to my school this afternoon to arrest me over a petition from an unknown person. The school authorities and the government must be aware of this lawlessness. How can you invade a university to arrest me? What happened to an invitation?” he wrote.

The incident follows a petition filed by fellow Nollywood actor Frederick Leonard against Stanley Ontop, accusing him of defaming his character. The petition, dated January 28, 2026, was submitted to the Delta State Police Command through Leonard’s lawyers, Uche Okoro & Co.

Leonard alleged that Stanley had repeatedly made statements over the past two years that tarnished his reputation and created a negative public image, which he claimed had harmed both his personal and professional life.
