Prince Andrew Arrested Over Alleged Epstein-Linked Misconduct

Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, formerly known as Prince Andrew, has been arrested on suspicion of misconduct in public office, marking a major twist in the prolonged scrutiny over his association with late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

Thames Valley Police confirmed on Thursday that a man in his sixties from Norfolk had been taken into custody and remains detained as investigations continue.

The arrest reportedly took place on his 66th birthday.

According to BBC, officers have been conducting searches at properties in Berkshire and Norfolk connected to Mountbatten-Windsor, who previously held the title Duke of York.

Unmarked police vehicles were seen arriving at his home on the Sandringham Estate, with images showing officers around the premises.

In a statement, police said: “As part of the investigation, we have today (19/2) arrested a man in his sixties from Norfolk on suspicion of misconduct in public office and are carrying out searches at addresses in Berkshire and Norfolk.

“The man remains in police custody at this time.

“We will not be naming the arrested man, as per national guidance. Please also remember that this case is now active so care should be taken with any publication to avoid being in contempt of court.”

The probe is believed to focus on claims that Mountbatten-Windsor disclosed confidential information from his time as a UK trade envoy to Epstein.

There are also allegations involving a second woman who was allegedly sent to the United Kingdom by Epstein for a sexual encounter with him.

Mountbatten-Windsor has repeatedly denied any wrongdoing connected to Epstein or any other claims.

The arrest significantly heightens the scrutiny that has followed Epstein’s death in 2019 and the former royal’s controversial appearance on BBC Newsnight.

Mountbatten-Windsor, younger brother to King Charles III, lost his military roles and royal patronages in 2022.

Last year, the King formally removed his “prince” title and directed him to vacate his Windsor residence, further distancing the monarchy from the ongoing controversy.

Oliver Wright, assistant chief constable of Thames Valley Police, said the force is carrying out a comprehensive investigation while upholding professional standards amid intense public scrutiny.

Authorities reiterated that the matter is now active and cautioned against reporting that could risk contempt of court.
