The group called on Nigerians and its supporters to remain calm, vigilant, and committed to pushing for electoral transparency.

The statement read in part:
*”In any functioning democracy, citizens have not only the right but the responsibility to peacefully demand transparency in elections. The violent dispersal of unarmed protesters—just as lawmakers debated provisions weakening electronic transmission safeguards—sends a deeply troubling message.
