No Personal Rift With Tinubu
El-Rufai emphasized that his disagreements with President Tinubu are political, not personal. “Our objectives differ. When I supported this government, we shared a vision, but things have changed. If our goals no longer align, we should part ways peacefully,” he said.

He added that he has never had a personal or direct political relationship with Tinubu, noting that their paths only crossed within APC during President Buhari’s election.

Relationship With Uba Sani and Political Unity
El-Rufai described his successor in Kaduna State, Uba Sani, as his political son and dismissed claims of a fallout. “We are not at odds; it’s only our objectives that differ,” he said.
