“Umar Sadiq Cheers Lookman’s Atletico Move As Nigerians Shine In La Liga”.
Valencia striker Umar Sadiq has expressed his support for Ademola Lookman’s high-profile move to Atletico Madrid, calling it a significant boost for Nigerian football in Spain.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
Lookman sealed a €35 million transfer, with an additional €5 million in potential add-ons, to Atletico earlier this month and made an immediate impression, scoring and providing an assist on his debut for Los Rojiblancos at the Wanda Metropolitano.
Sadiq, 29, who recently joined Valencia from Real Sociedad seeking more regular playing time, believes Lookman’s arrival strengthens the growing Nigerian presence in La Liga. The former Rangers forward, who has already scored twice since his €3 million move to Carlos Corberan’s side, welcomed another Nigerian talent stepping up in Spain’s top flight.
“I’m glad to see him coming to La Liga because this is probably the best league in the world,” Sadiq told Sporty TV.
“The best league needs the best players, and Ademola Lookman is one of the best right now. It’s time for La Liga to see what he can do, and the world will also recognize his talent. I wish him all the best, and I’ll see him soon.”
Lookman’s transfer means four Nigerian players are now active in Spain’s top division. Alongside the Atletico winger and Sadiq at Valencia, Sevilla stars Chidera Ejuke and Akor Adams complete the quartet representing Nigeria in La Liga.

Obi-Kwankwaso Movement Is Indeed Organic – Sambo.
Public affairs analyst Sumner Sambo has described the emerging Obi–Kwankwaso (OK) Movement as a natural and encouraging political development ahead of the 2027 general elections.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
He made the remarks on Thursday during an interview on Prime Time, a programme on Arise News, following the unveiling of a joint support structure for Peter Obi and Rabiu Kwankwaso.
Sambo said he was pleased that supporters of both politicians were coming together, stressing that the movement appears to be driven organically from the grassroots rather than by the candidates themselves.
According to him, this kind of alliance reflects a healthy democratic process and should be encouraged.
However, he urged that the movement maintain transparency in its operations, particularly in the area of funding. He noted that with coordinators already appointed across states, zones, and the national level, accountability should be prioritised.
Meanwhile, Peter Obi, a chieftain of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), said his recent visit to Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed was aimed at promoting national unity.
The meeting, held at the Presidential Lounge of the Government House in Bauchi, was attended by Igbo elders, ADC senators from the South-East, and other political associates.
Obi said the engagement formed part of broader efforts to strengthen unity in the country and called for collective action toward national renewal, expressing concern about Nigeria’s current challenges.
