Speaking on Arise Television’s Prime Time programme on Friday, Oyegun stated that the ADC intends to break from past practices, emphasising that everyone within the party is committed to change.

The former National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) added that every level of society is making significant sacrifices within the ADC to advance its agenda.

According to Oyegun, the 2027 general elections will represent a contest between the people and their oppressors, which he said includes several governors and other influential figures.

“This time, we have a big and different message to deliver. We must start with an apology,” he said.

“Sorry, we have disappointed you repeatedly. It’s not just about the last setback. With the wave of defections to the APC, we are hopeful—indeed, we’ll even celebrate with brass bands if more join.

“The struggle for the future is now clear: it’s the people versus their oppressors, made up of many governors and others. Our campaign will reflect that reality,” Oyegun added.
