ADC Is Just Old Faces In New Clothes – APC Fires Back In Sokoto.

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Sokoto State has dismissed the African Democratic Congress (ADC) as a recycled political coalition incapable of challenging the ruling party’s dominance in the state.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

Speaking on Thursday at a stakeholders’ meeting in Tambuwal Local Government Area, APC Sokoto Chairman Isah Sadik Achida said the opposition, regardless of its platform, would fail to wrest power from the APC and predicted a decisive defeat for the ADC in future elections.

News reports that the meeting, organized by the Ahmed Aliyu Sokoto Youths Contact, Mobilisation and Enlightenment Ambassadors, aimed to strengthen the APC’s Renewed Hope Agenda ahead of the 2027 polls.

Achida described the ADC as composed of familiar political figures who had previously failed to deliver meaningful results for the people of Sokoto State, saying their political relevance had long expired.

“We all know them. They failed to deliver after 8 years. They have nothing new to present but rather to further destroy the state,” he said.

He praised Governor Ahmed Aliyu Sokoto for surpassing the achievements of his predecessor, Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, even in his home local government, highlighting the administration’s focus on infrastructure, basic services, and strategic appointments, guided by Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko.

“The current APC governor has done a lot for the local government with the visionary leadership of Senator Wamakko in providing infrastructure and other essential facilities for the people. He prioritized appointments and governance,” Achida added.

The chairman urged party members and stakeholders to remain united, emphasizing that the APC had a strong structure and the resilience needed to maintain its hold on power.

Speaking at the event, Chief of Staff Aminu Dikko Tambuwal, on behalf of Alhaji Umaru Nagwari Tambuwal, highlighted the tangible development and empowerment programs achieved under the APC, commending the contributions of the party’s youth and women wings.

Tambuwal also credited Senator Wamakko’s leadership as a unifying force that strengthened Governor Ahmed Aliyu’s administration.

“We are proud of the quality of governance in Sokoto State today. The people of Tambuwal Local Government have every reason to appreciate the governor for supporting development and governance initiatives. This is a clear departure from the previous administration, which left no tangible impact,” he said, citing programs that have helped residents become self-reliant through various trades.
