In a video shared on her Instagram page, Okorie first thanked her fans worldwide for their unwavering support and love. She admitted that she is not perfect and noted that age and personal growth have shaped her outlook on life.

Okorie explained that her message was mainly directed at Mercy Johnson and her household. She acknowledged that over the years in the film industry, misunderstandings were often fueled by third parties spreading claims about one person saying something about the other. These situations, she said, led to arguments, tension, and public disagreements, which she no longer wishes to entertain at this stage of her life.

She expressed regret for any hurt caused by her words or online posts whenever Mercy Johnson’s name was mentioned. Okorie cleared Mercy of the negative labels that had circulated about her, stressing that her apology was sincere and heartfelt.

The actress also addressed their children, emphasizing that the future is unpredictable and that their kids could meet anywhere in the world and form close friendships. She noted that it would be wrong for parents to allow personal disputes to affect their children’s lives. Okorie condemned any form of bullying directed at Mercy Johnson’s children, particularly in schools, and vowed to oppose such behavior if it involved her own child.

Okorie further asked for forgiveness from anyone she may have offended, knowingly or unknowingly. She described herself as a peaceful person who values harmony and is choosing to make peace with everyone.

She revealed that both she and Mercy Johnson had already spoken privately, exchanged apologies, and resolved their differences. Okorie concluded by saying she holds no grudges, expressed love for Mercy, and offered prayers for her continued success.

She said in the video:

“Hi everybody, this is your one and only Legit Queen. I just want to thank all my fans around the world for their love. I’m not perfect, and yes, I’m not.

This message is specifically for Mercy and her kids and family.

Over the years, while growing in the industry, some people would tell me that Mercy said this, or that I said that. These misunderstandings led to quarrels and chaos, but at this age, I no longer want that.

I want to apologize for anything I’ve said or written whenever your name came up on social media. I am deeply sorry. You are not a witch and not what people have called you. This apology is sincere.

Our kids may meet anywhere in the world and become best friends, and as mothers, we cannot stop that. I also strongly oppose bullying of your children in schools.

I am sorry to anyone I may have offended knowingly or unknowingly. I am a peaceful person seeking harmony. Mercy, this is a new beginning. You are my friend, and I will not listen to rumors about you again. If there’s any issue, I will reach out directly.

When we spoke on the phone, you apologized and I accepted wholeheartedly. I hold no grudges. I love you and pray for God to bless and elevate you.”

The apology follows reports that Okorie was recently arrested in Lagos by the State Criminal Investigation Department over allegations of cyberstalking, threats, and harassment. She was later granted bail of ₦5 million.
