Leaked Files Expose Epstein’s Alleged Nigerian Oil Links, Jonathan Connection.

Published

on

Recently released documents have uncovered email exchanges between Jeffrey Epstein and a businessman identified as David Stern, in which they discussed a prospective business arrangement involving Nigerian crude oil.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

The emails form part of a broader collection of records released by the United States Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) under the Epstein Files Transparency Act.

In one message dated September 20, 2010, Stern informed Epstein about what he described as a lucrative opportunity to earn millions of dollars by brokering Nigerian oil transactions. He explained that an individual referred to only as “PA” had proposed a meeting with people who allegedly had access to Nigerian crude, with plans to resell it to buyers in China or elsewhere.

Stern noted that the deal could yield an estimated profit of about $6 million. However, he expressed scepticism about the proposal, describing it as suspicious.

Nigeria, Africa’s largest oil producer, has long struggled with transparency challenges in its oil sector, where crude diversion and illegal trading have persisted despite repeated reform efforts. Although successive governments have promised improvements, meaningful transparency has remained limited, with the national oil company only recently beginning to release audited financial statements.

The correspondence between Epstein and Stern is among several references to Nigeria found in the newly released files, which document Epstein’s interactions with members of his affluent and influential network.

Epstein, Nigeria and Jonathan-era contact

In a separate email from 2010, George Reenstra, founder of Aircraft Service Group, informed Epstein that he had to make an urgent trip to Nigeria for a meeting with then-President Goodluck Jonathan.

Reenstra wrote on September 27, 2010, that the trip could not be postponed because it involved the country’s president, just months after Jonathan assumed office. There is no confirmation that the meeting ultimately took place.

He also mentioned that documents related to another business transaction had been left with his partner, Jon Parker, to finalise in his absence.

Emails with global power figures

The released files contain extensive correspondence between Epstein and prominent political, business and royal figures before his death in July 2019 while awaiting trial on sex trafficking charges.

The documents reference interactions with former US President Donald Trump, who has acknowledged knowing Epstein but maintains that he cut ties years earlier. Other names appearing in the files include former US President Bill Clinton, billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk, and Britain’s Prince Andrew.

One email shows Epstein inviting Prince Andrew to dine at Buckingham Palace, while another offered to introduce the prince to a 26-year-old Russian woman. Despite Prince Andrew’s earlier claim that he had no contact with Epstein after December 2010, the emails suggest communication continued into February 2011.

Musk, Lutnick, Bannon mentioned

Elon Musk’s name appears in email exchanges from 2012 to 2013 discussing potential visits to Epstein’s Caribbean island. Musk later stated that Epstein repeatedly invited him to the island, invitations he said he declined.

The files also indicate that US Secretary of Commerce Howard Lutnick arranged a visit to Epstein’s island in 2012. Additionally, Epstein exchanged friendly emails with former Trump adviser Steve Bannon, including a January 2019 message asking whether Bannon had received an Apple Watch sent as a Christmas gift, followed by an invitation to visit New York.

Kwara PDP Protests As Govt Moves To Reopen Robbery Case Against Saraki, Others.

Published

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kwara State has strongly opposed reported moves by the state government to revisit the alleged Offa robbery case involving former Governor Abubakar Bukola Saraki and others.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

reports that the party made its position known during an emergency press conference in Ilorin on Friday, describing the development as politically motivated and unjust.

PDP spokesman, Comrade Olushola Adewara, said the alleged plan to reopen the case amounts to an attempt to politicise a matter that has already been concluded by the courts.

He alleged that the move was targeted at dragging Saraki into a case in which, according to him, legal authorities had previously found no evidence linking him to the incident.

Adewara referenced earlier legal opinions from the Office of the Attorney General of the Federation, which reportedly stated that Saraki was not connected to the robbery case.

The party insisted that suspects in the case had already been prosecuted and convicted, with judgments upheld at appellate levels, while the matter is currently before the Supreme Court.

PDP urged Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq to focus on governance rather than what it described as attempts to revive old political narratives.

It also called on security agencies to monitor the situation closely, warning that such actions could heighten political tension in the state.

The party further appealed to residents, especially families of victims in Offa, not to allow their pain to be used for political purposes.

Showunmi Declares For Ogun 2027 Governorship, Seeks IPAC Support.

A PDP chieftain and convener of The Alternative, Otunba Segun Showunmi, has declared his intention to contest the 2027 Ogun State governorship election.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

reports that Showunmi made the announcement during a courtesy visit to the Inter-Party Advisory Council (IPAC) secretariat in Abeokuta on Friday.

He called for a broad political coalition involving opposition parties and grassroots groups to challenge what he described as the failures of dominant political forces in the state.

Showunmi argued that political parties may choose or endorse candidates, but insisted such arrangements must not deny voters a genuine electoral choice.

He said: “I will be running for governor in the 2027 governorship election. I have come to plead with you to set up a small committee… to determine how we can collaborate to make this happen.”

He also questioned whether Ogun State would experience a “coronation” or a competitive election process, urging stakeholders to allow open political contest.

The PDP chieftain noted that Ogun West’s long-standing exclusion from producing a governor is a legitimate grievance, but stressed that aspirations must still be tested through competition.

He advocated issue-based campaigns ahead of 2027, rejecting “money politics” and challenging aspirants to public debates on governance.

Showunmi maintained that he has no history of violence or political thuggery, insisting the election should be centred on ideas and development plans for the state.

In response, IPAC leadership and other political actors at the event called for collaboration and careful selection of leaders ahead of the 2027 elections.
