“Military Coup? Tinubu’s Not Joking, But Some People Think He Is – Igbokwe”.
Joe Igbokwe, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has commented on the recent failed coup attempt by some members of the Nigerian Armed Forces.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
The Defence Headquarters (DHQ) had earlier released the names of 16 officers implicated by a Special Investigative Panel for allegedly plotting to overthrow President Bola Tinubu. The panel accused the soldiers of serious misconduct, including a coup plot.
Reacting to the development, Igbokwe emphasized that President Tinubu is serious about his government. Writing on Facebook, he said:
“I hear this is the face of the man who led the coup against PBAT. He will face consequences. Some people think PBAT is joking—no sir. He is here to rework, retool, rejig, reposition, refix, rewind, and reinstall Nigeria. What you sow, you reap.”
Igbokwe also criticized individuals he claims are exploiting the detention of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) leader, Nnamdi Kanu, for personal gain.
Kanu was sentenced to life imprisonment on November 20, 2025, by the Federal High Court in Abuja after being convicted on seven counts of terrorism. He is now serving his sentence in Sokoto Prison, amid widespread calls from the South East for his release.
“Some unrepentant scammers in Igboland, IPOB fraudsters, and certain charge-and-bail lawyers are using Kanu’s detention to cash out. Even content creators are involved. It has become a business,” Igbokwe wrote.
