How Falling Out With Kcee Impacted My Career — Harrysong.
Nigerian singer Harrison Okiri, popularly known as Harrysong, has revealed that his long-standing dispute with former label boss Kcee negatively impacted his music career, particularly his creative output.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
The feud between Harrysong and Kcee’s 5ive Star Music came to light in 2017, when the Delta-born artist accused the label of withholding his royalties, treating him unfairly, and restricting his creative freedom. The tension escalated when Harrysong claimed he contributed to writing several of Kcee’s hit songs, prompting public back-and-forth exchanges between the two parties.
In an interview on Jusmen 105.7 FM, Harrysong explained that the dispute often distracted him from making music. Instead of focusing on recording, he spent significant time thinking about how to respond to Kcee, which slowed his progress and reduced his creative productivity.
The singer disclosed that the issue has now been resolved, with both him and Kcee, along with 5ive Star Music, settling their differences. He added that he has matured over time and learned to manage public conflicts more effectively.
According to Harrysong, controversies no longer derail his work, as he has developed a stronger mindset that allows him to concentrate fully on his music and career growth.
“The beef with Kcee used to distract me; it affected my music. Most of the time, instead of recording, I would be thinking about how to reply Kcee and continue the fight. It distracted me and impacted my creativity,” he said.
