Registration Chaos! Court Overturns INEC Order, Sparking Fury From NDC Leadership!.
The Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) has announced its intention to appeal a Federal High Court ruling that overturned a previous court order requiring the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to register it as a political party. The court determined that all parties with vested interests should have been included in the original case, necessitating that the matter be heard again with all relevant parties properly joined.

This ruling restores the status quo that existed before the initial judgment while the substantive suit is pending.
-
C.S. Ekeocha, counsel for the PMP, contended that the NDC’s registration process utilized a logo previously submitted to INEC by the PMP, a claim the court found sufficient to warrant PMP’s involvement.
-
NDC National Publicity Secretary Osa Director stated that the party plans to obtain and study the text of the judgment to exercise its right to appeal.
-
The NDC maintains confidence in its legal position and remains committed to utilizing constitutional and appellate avenues to defend its registration.
