IPAC Blasts Wike Over ‘Rainbow Coalition’ Claims Supporting Tinubu.

According to Nivo News, IPAC, through its National Publicity Secretary Egbeola Martins, described Wike’s statement as misleading and unfounded, stressing that he does not have the authority to speak for registered political parties or determine their political alliances and electoral choices.
Martins said political parties operate independently under their constitutions and democratic structures, and any decisions on coalitions or endorsements must come from duly constituted party organs. He warned against attempts to appropriate the collective will of parties for personal political agendas.
IPAC further clarified that some parties are independently exploring options to give unconditional support to Governor Siminalayi Fubara in Rivers State, including the possibility of not fielding governorship candidates, as a measure to promote peace, stability, and effective governance. The council emphasized that such decisions are voluntary and driven solely by collective solidarity.
“IPAC categorically states that no individual, regardless of position or influence, has the right to hijack or speak for political parties,” the statement concluded.
