Rivers Labour Party Folds Into ADC, Pledges Full Support For Peter Obi.
According to Nivo News, the Nenadi Usman-led faction of the Labour Party in Rivers State has formally merged its structure into the African Democratic Congress (ADC).....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
The development was announced by the party’s Chairman, Gogo Wellington, during a press briefing on Monday, where he was joined by other senior party officials. Wellington called on all members of the Labour Party and the Obidient Movement in Rivers State to redirect their support to former Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi.
Obi, who recently joined the ADC, is part of a coalition of opposition leaders preparing to challenge President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 elections. Wellington urged supporters across the 23 local government areas of Rivers State to align with Obi and the ADC, emphasizing the urgency of addressing Nigeria’s economic decline and growing insecurity.
“The deteriorating situation of our economy and worsening insecurity make it clear that the time to rescue this nation is now or never,” Wellington said. He encouraged all members of the Obidient Movement to actively participate in the coalition for a better Nigeria.
