According to Nivo News, Abdulkareem explained that Obi’s interest in the ADC ticket is driven by a broader national vision rather than personal ambition. He noted that Obi’s involvement with the party dates back to the formation of the emerging coalition and was anchored on a shared commitment to building a functional political system for Nigeria.
Speaking during a televised interview on Wednesday, Abdulkareem said Obi made it clear from the outset that his participation in the coalition was conditional on a genuine effort to unite Nigerians and pursue meaningful governance, rather than merely capturing power for its own sake.
He stressed that Obi has never demanded automatic entitlement to the ADC ticket, adding that the former Anambra State governor has consistently engaged with his supporters, particularly young Nigerians, to align their expectations with a collective vision for national renewal.
Abdulkareem further stated that Obi’s consultations with the Obidient Movement preceded any formal declaration of interest, describing the approach as evidence of inclusive leadership aimed at restoring hope among citizens seeking credible and people-centred governance.
