Veteran Politician Abdallah Wali Quits PDP After 25 Years.
According to Nivo News, former Senator and diplomat Abdallah Wali has formally resigned from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) after more than 25 years of active membership. The Sokoto-based political figure submitted his resignation in a letter dated December 31, 2025, addressed to the ward chairman of Sanyinna Ward in Tambuwal Local Government Area.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
In the letter, Wali expressed gratitude to PDP leaders for the opportunity to serve both the party and the nation, stating that his resignation is effective immediately. Copies of the letter were forwarded to the PDP chairman in Tambuwal LGA and the state chairman in Sokoto. Wali, however, did not indicate his future political plans.
He stated, “I am resigning from my membership of the Peoples Democratic Party, including all organs of the PDP in which I am a member. This resignation takes immediate effect.” Wali also acknowledged the support of his followers, thanking them for standing by him throughout his long tenure.
His departure comes shortly after former Senator Gilbert Nnaji resigned from the PDP on December 26, ending a 27-year association with the party, citing challenges in aligning his personal vision with the party’s national agenda.
