“You Are Clever By Half” — Wike Accuses Fubara Of Betraying Tinubu-Brokered Deal.
According to Nivo News, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has accused Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, of violating an agreement brokered by President Bola Tinubu to resolve the lingering political crisis in the state.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
The agreement was reportedly reached during a closed-door meeting convened by President Tinubu at the State House in Abuja in June 2025. The meeting, which involved both Wike and Fubara, was aimed at ending the intense political standoff that plunged Rivers State into crisis, culminating in a state of emergency and the suspension of the governor and members of the State House of Assembly.
Speaking on Wednesday during a thank-you visit to the people of Tai Local Government Area in Rivers State, Wike alleged that Governor Fubara had failed to uphold key aspects of the understanding reached before the President.
The former Rivers State governor warned that he would soon disclose the full details of the agreement to the people of the state, stressing that the pact was personally brokered by President Tinubu and not reached in an informal setting.
Wike expressed disappointment over what he described as a breach of trust, stating that reneging on an agreement reached in the presence of the President raises serious questions about credibility and commitment to peace in the state.
