The endorsement was announced on Tuesday during the 2025 Eneka Day Celebration held at State Primary School One, Eneka, under the theme “Unity: Our Strength for Progress.” Leaders and residents of Eneka in Obio/Akpor Local Government Area, Wike’s ancestral community, declared their support for Fubara, noting that he remains the sole occupant of the state’s highest office.

The event attracted traditional rulers, community leaders, and residents from the eleven communities that make up the Eneka clan. He appealed for urgent attention to the construction and rehabilitation of internal roads within the community.

Chukwu also called for the upgrade of the Eneka traditional stool from second-class to first-class status, stating that such recognition would enhance unity and preserve the community’s cultural heritage. Similarly, the political leader of the Eneka clan and President General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide, Senator John Azuta-Mbata, affirmed that the people of Eneka recognise Fubara as the only Governor of Rivers State and pledged their continued friendship and support.

Responding, Governor Fubara expressed gratitude for the endorsement and the show of unity. He assured the community of meaningful interventions to restore deteriorating internal roads, many of which were damaged during major construction projects. The governor also directed the Commissioner for Chieftaincy and Community Affairs to begin the process of upgrading the Eneka traditional stool, emphasizing that peace and unity remain essential for sustainable development.

Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has announced that the FCT University of Science and Technology in Abaji will begin operations during President Bola Tinubu’s administration.

Wike made the revelation on Tuesday while on a thank-you tour of Abaji Area Council, appreciating residents for supporting Tinubu’s candidates in the February 21 FCT area council elections.

He noted that the FCT Administration is already putting in place the necessary infrastructure and essential facilities to ensure the university’s successful launch.

Wike urged the community to remain patient, assuring that the university would become a reality within Tinubu’s tenure.

What more can we say but thank you? You have done your part; we will now do ours. Abaji people have spoken, and they spoke decisively,” he said.
