Nigeria Police Launches Landmark 50,000 Constable Recruitment – Here’s How To Apply.
According to Nivo News, the Police Service Commission (PSC), in partnership with the Nigeria Police Force (NPF), has officially commenced the recruitment of 50,000 Police Constables. The PSC announced that the recruitment portal will be open for applications from eligible Nigerians. For candidates applying to the General Duty cadre, a minimum of five credits in GCE O-Level, SSCE, NECO, or equivalent certificates—including English Language and Mathematics—obtained in not more than two sittings is required. Specialists are required to have at least four credits, including English and Mathematics, along with a minimum of three years’ experience and relevant Trade Tests in their respective fields.
Applicants must be Nigerian citizens by birth, medically, physically, and psychologically fit, and meet specific age and height requirements: 18–25 years for General Duty and 18–28 years for Specialists, with height minimums of 1.67m for males and 1.64m for females in the General Duty cadre. Additional criteria will be detailed on the official portal.
The recruitment portal will open on Monday, December 15, 2025, and close on Sunday, January 25, 2026. Applications must be submitted online via www.npfapplication.psc.gov.ng. The PSC emphasised that the process will be fully transparent, merit-based, and credible, with no payment required at any stage. Applicants are warned to beware of fraudsters.
Detailed guidelines and requirements will be available on the portal once activated, as well as on the official websites and social media pages of the PSC and NPF. The Commission encouraged all qualified Nigerians to take advantage of this opportunity to serve the nation.
