Adeleke’s Defection Exposes PDP’s Leadership Failures — Party Official.
National Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Ini Ememobong, has attributed Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke’s defection to internal crises that the party leadership failed to resolve in a timely manner.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
Speaking on The Morning Brief, Ememobong described Adeleke as “a victim of circumstance” and emphasized that his departure could have been prevented with prompt and decisive leadership. He noted that political conflicts, if ignored, often escalate, stressing that the PDP’s difficulties were largely self-inflicted.
Ememobong explained, “The situation was vicarious because every problem is human-caused and therefore should have a human solution. At the level of leadership to which he belonged in the party, the party ought to have acted decisively.”
He warned that unresolved disputes, if left unchecked, could engulf even the strongest party members, adding, “The challenge is that immediately we begin to feed the monster without knowing, we will end up in the belly of the monster. If we feed animals to the monster, and we think time will solve problems, time allows human beings to solve problems. It doesn’t solve problems on its own.”
The PDP official acknowledged that early attempts at dialogue were made in 2023 instead of immediate action. “You also cannot fully blame them. Sometimes they think that with negotiations, when passions are calm, people could reconsider their position, but unfortunately, it didn’t,” he said.
Ememobong linked Adeleke’s exit to unresolved issues from the controversial PDP convention in Ibadan, which led to mass expulsions, leadership changes, and deep internal divisions. He concluded that the governor’s defection arose from circumstances “he cannot completely extricate himself from,” highlighting deeper fractures within the party.

BLISTERING ATTACK: Timi Frank Fires Back At Obasanjo, Declaring His Political Value Is Pure ‘Whitewash’!.
Timi Frank, the former Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has dismissed former President Olusegun Obasanjo’s recent remarks regarding the 2027 presidential election, asserting that Obasanjo lacks the political clout to sway voters.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
In a statement issued on Friday, Frank responded to Obasanjo’s comments about former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and the African Democratic Congress (ADC), accusing the former president of routinely targeting Atiku ahead of general elections and scapegoating him for past administration woes.
Key Points from Frank’s Statement:
-
Diminished Influence: Frank argued that Obasanjo’s political endorsements carry little weight, noting that candidates backed by the former president have consistently lost elections, including in his home state of Ogun.
-
Call to Action: He advised Obasanjo to focus on promoting his preferred candidate or scrutinizing the current administration instead of continually attacking Atiku.
-
Voter Sovereignty: Frank maintained that the 2027 outcome rests solely with the Nigerian electorate, emphasizing that no single political figure can halt a widely supported presidential bid.
“Your political value is whitewash and a ruse because any candidate you support has always been defeated at the polls… Atiku isn’t the problem of Nigeria right now and we dare you to criticize the current government like the way you cry about Atiku.” — Timi Frank

ROYAL FURY: Alaafin Fires Back At Professor Over ‘Reckless’ Lateness Remark And Demands Immediate Apology!.
The Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Akeem Owoade, has demanded a public apology and retraction from Professor Ademola Dasylva following comments accusing the monarch of arriving three hours late for the inauguration of the Alaafin’s Institute of Yoruba Studies at Emmanuel Alayande University of Education.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
In a statement released by his Director of Media and Publicity, Bode Durojaiye, the Alaafin labeled the professor’s remarks as “reckless” and factually incorrect. The Palace explained that prior notice had been officially communicated to the university organizers, informing them that the monarch’s arrival would be adjusted to accommodate an imperial procession traveling alongside other paramount traditional rulers from outside Oyo State.
Criticizing Professor Dasylva—who was neither an event convener nor part of the protocol team—for launching into public castigation without verifying facts, the Palace emphasized that royal movements involve established protocols that cannot conform to unconsulted timetables. The Alaafin concluded that the remarks disregarded established communications and demanded a formal apology to protect the dignity of the Yoruba traditional institution.
