The closed-door meeting, which took place at the Presidential Villa, was convened by President Tinubu to resolve internal disagreements within the party. However, one of the aspirants, Iyiola Omisore, was absent, having earlier dismissed his disqualification from the primary as laughable.
Those who stepped down in support of Oyebamiji include former Deputy Governor Benedict Olugboyega Alabi, Dotun Babayemi, Akin Ogunbiyi, Senator Babajide Omoworare, Kunle Adegoke, Babatunde Haketer Oralusi, and Mulikat Abiola Jimoh.
