Lagos APC Slams Peter Obi, Warns Opposition To Stop Distracting President Tinubu.
The Lagos State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has urged opposition parties to refrain from diverting President Bola Tinubu’s attention with what it described as “unnecessary politicking and manufactured drama.”....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
Seye Oladejo, Lagos APC spokesperson, made the statement while responding to the African Democratic Congress’ (ADC) call for former Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi to clarify his position on joining the coalition.
Oladejo emphasized that the nation’s pressing challenges require focused leadership, not political gamesmanship. “At this critical juncture, it has become expedient to warn the opposition to stop distracting Bola Ahmed Tinubu with needless politicking and manufactured drama,” he said.
According to Oladejo, President Tinubu is steadfastly addressing Nigeria’s challenges, including infrastructure development, economic recovery, security, social investment, education, health, and national reforms. He contrasted this with the opposition, claiming it offers only recycled slogans and empty promises that Nigerians can now see through.
Oladejo stressed that the APC remains committed to governance and national renewal under Tinubu’s leadership, while opposition parties continue to fight internal battles in public. He argued that the ADC–Obi conflict reflects “a public confession of collapse,” suggesting that Peter Obi’s political strategy revolves around waiting to capitalize on opportunities created by others’ failures rather than engaging in genuine competition.
“The deeper dilemma is this: Peter Obi has perfected a strange political posture – that of a presidential aspirant who hardly competes, but rather positions and waits patiently like a panther, stalking political parties in distress to strike when desperation peaks,” Oladejo said. He added that this approach is not true political organization but a form of “political lottery masquerading as strategy.”
According to Oladejo, 2027 should be about prepared leadership rather than confused coalitions or political experiments, with the APC focused on delivering results for Nigerians.

El-Zakzaky further asserted that the US deliberately used terrorism to destabilize Africa, adding that the same powers now exploit the continent’s resources, including gold, oil, and gas, under the guise of providing security. “Disappointing And Dangerous: Analyst Condemns Ongoing Detention Of Nigerian Military Officers”.
According to Nivo News, Burkina Faso has yet to release eleven Nigerian Air Force (NAF) personnel who were detained following an unscheduled emergency landing of their C-130 aircraft in Bobo-Dioulasso. The military officers remain in custody amid heightened suspicions surrounding Nigeria’s role in the recent failed coup in neighboring Benin Republic.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
The C-130 transport aircraft, carrying two crew members and nine military passengers, made a precautionary landing on Monday, December 8, 2025, during a ferry mission to Portugal. The Nigerian Air Force emphasized that the landing was due to a technical issue and complied with standard international aviation safety regulations under ICAO guidelines.
Despite this, Burkinabè authorities and the Alliance of Sahel States (AES), consisting of Burkina Faso, Mali, and Niger, condemned the landing as a violation of their sovereign airspace and an “unfriendly act,” prompting a strong security response.
Security expert Zagazola Makama described Burkina Faso’s continued detention of the officers as “disappointing and dangerous.” In a statement released on Wednesday, he warned that decades-long alliances could be jeopardized by a single reckless action.
Makama emphasized that the detention has escalated beyond diplomatic tension into a violation of international norms, regional solidarity, and standard military aviation protocols. He criticized the lack of response from ICAO, ECOWAS, and other multilateral organizations, noting that Nigeria has engaged in discreet diplomatic efforts to secure the officers’ release.
Highlighting Nigeria’s history of regional cooperation, Makama noted that the country has consistently provided military support, training, intelligence, and diplomatic assistance to its West African neighbors. In March 2025, a high-level AES delegation visited Nigeria to examine the country’s successful counterterrorism initiatives, including Operation Safe Corridor and the Borno Model, which focus on deradicalization, rehabilitation, and reintegration of former combatants.
Makama stressed that Burkina Faso’s actions risk undermining regional stability in the Sahel, a region already challenged by terrorism, fragile borders, and internal instability. He concluded that true strength is demonstrated through dialogue and adherence to international norms, not by detaining friendly forces, and called for Burkina Faso to release the NAF personnel unconditionally.
