Queen Mercy addressed the accusations, clarifying that her last visit to the United States occurred in 2017/2018, before her rise to fame, when she briefly stayed with her aunt in Houston before traveling to Florida for a pageant. She questioned how anyone could have labeled her a prostitute at a time when she had no public profile.

Queen admitted that her family might be displeased by her public response but emphasized the need to set the record straight. She recounted facing various criticisms since leaving Big Brother Naija, noting that some have treated her as though she committed a crime on the show.

Responding to claims that she shared her wedding photos online to spite her former husband, Queen stated that she posted the pictures out of excitement, like any bride would. She also addressed suggestions that her film roles disqualify her from marriage, clarifying that she has appeared in only a few movies and has never participated in explicit romantic scenes. She challenged anyone with contrary evidence to present it, remarking that being a “good girl” has not always worked in her favor.
