2Baba Breaks Silence: “My Family Has Destroyed Me… Natasha Is Receiving Death Threats!”.
According to Nivo News, Nigerian music legend Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba, has raised alarm over alleged death threats directed at his wife, Natasha, following the circulation of videos capturing their recent altercation in London.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
This development comes in the wake of a petition submitted by 2Baba’s family to the Inspector-General of Police, accusing Natasha of assault and financial misconduct. In the petition dated November 12, the Idibia family urged authorities to investigate incidents they claim have resulted in emotional distress, financial loss, and reputational damage for the award-winning singer.
The petition also stated that reports from 2Baba and witnesses alleged multiple instances of physical assault in both the United Kingdom and Abuja. Additionally, the family accused Natasha of accessing and transferring funds from the singer’s phone and bank accounts without authorization, as well as withholding crucial documents including his passport—a move they say hindered him from meeting important business obligations.
In a video message shared on his social media page on Friday, 2Baba expressed deep frustration, accusing his family of tearing him down while publicly tarnishing Natasha’s name. He stressed that the situation has escalated beyond control and that he would no longer remain silent, insisting that he is old enough to make his own decisions.
The acclaimed artist further alleged that his family had treated his estranged wife, Annie, in a similar manner in the past, adding that disagreements are normal in any marriage and that he is mentally and emotionally fine despite the current turmoil.
“This whole situation has gotten dangerously out of hand; Natasha is getting death threats. I will not stay silent anymore. I’m grown and have the right to do what I want and be with whoever I want. My family, who claimed they wanted to save me, have actually destroyed me and damaged someone’s daughter’s character,” he said in the video. He added that every couple has disagreements and emphasized that his family had taken similar actions during his previous marriage to Annie.
