FG Seeks International Support As Insecurity Hits Critical Levels.

Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), George Akume, made the remarks during a courtesy visit from a delegation of the Charismatic Bishops Conference of Nigeria (CBCN), led by its President, Archbishop Leonard Kawas, in Abuja.
Akume reiterated that the administration of President Bola Tinubu remains committed to safeguarding lives and property, while seeking collaborative efforts from global partners to combat terrorism.
“The government is deeply committed to tackling insecurity. We need support from our allies to effectively confront terrorists operating in the country,” he said in a statement released by the Director of Information and Public Relations, Segun Imohiosen, on Friday.
He acknowledged the public confidence in the Tinubu administration, describing it as recognition of the government’s initiatives to address insecurity and other national challenges. Akume highlighted ongoing collaborations with traditional leaders, business stakeholders, the private sector, political figures, and religious organizations in building a stronger and more resilient Nigeria.
He also called on religious bodies to continue praying for the peace and prosperity of the nation.
