Orji Kalu Alleges Powerful Forces Plotting To Destabilise Tinubu Ahead Of 2027.
According to Nivo News, Senator Orji Uzor Kalu has alleged that the surge in insecurity across the country is a politically driven plot aimed at undermining President Bola Tinubu ahead of the 2027 elections. Kalu argued that the recent wave of attacks, including kidnappings and the forced shutdown of schools, aligns with patterns typically witnessed during election cycles. He stated that similar tactics were deployed during former President Goodluck Jonathan’s tenure, insisting that the current developments are part of a calculated effort to destabilise the government.
The lawmaker alleged that some politicians were sponsoring violent groups to create unrest, describing the perpetrators as “partially mercenaries purchased by political interests” determined to weaken a president who, according to him, is committed to rescuing the nation’s economy. He maintained that the intelligence community is aware of these orchestrated efforts.
Kalu also suggested that foreign forces were involved, alleging that certain international actors were collaborating with local players to foment instability. He expressed confidence in the government’s response, noting that President Tinubu had cancelled major engagements to concentrate on managing the crisis.
He reassured Nigerians that ongoing rescue efforts would yield results, saying security agencies had intensified operations to locate abducted victims. Kalu stressed that although the situation is challenging, the government remains committed to its constitutional duty of safeguarding lives and property.
