Imisi’s Mother Breaks Silence: “I Didn’t Abandon My Daughter”.

Published

on

The mother of Imisi Ayanwale, winner of BBNaija Season 10, has spoken out following widespread allegations that she abandoned her daughter and resurfaced only after Imisi’s rise to fame and fortune. According to Nivo News, the controversy escalated after online rumours claimed she had distanced herself from Imisi until the reality star attained success.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

In a video shared across social media, she expressed gratitude to God and to Nigerians who supported her during difficult times. She revealed that she had been living quietly with her younger sister in Ajah, where she received considerable help from people who accommodated her and provided basic necessities.

She said her period away from the spotlight had been peaceful despite harsh public criticism. Addressing accusations that she neglected her responsibilities, she insisted her silence was deliberate and rooted in wisdom rather than guilt. She added that she only received information about Imisi’s imminent exit from the Big Brother house a few hours before it happened, leaving her little time to prepare.

The mother further appealed to the public to embrace compassion and avoid spreading hostility, urging people to speak kindly and treat one another with understanding.

She said: “I’ve received mercy from God. Thank you so much to all Nigerians; I’m truly grateful. I’m staying with my younger sister in Ajah. Even though some people didn’t want me around, others welcomed me, clothed me, and fed me. I’ve been happy and at peace.

“Some people said I neglected my children. I’m thankful to both those who mean well and those who don’t. The elders say we should be swift to hear but slow to reply, and the Bible teaches us to always stand for the truth.

“Adeola that promised them the other day is no longer available, and now I’m the one they’re after. The same Adeola is now following Opeyemi; she didn’t fulfill any of her promises. I was the one running helter-skelter, doing everything just to make sure my daughter succeeded and could lift me out of poverty.

“Even the day I went to Big Brother, I wasn’t told until the last minute, around 4 p.m., to dress up because Imisi would be leaving the house that day. Is that how it’s supposed to be?

“Let’s learn to bridle our tongues and stop tearing each other down. Why can’t we just live in love instead of envy and hate?”

Galadima Defends Obi! Political Veteran Slams Critics Trying To Pin 1966 History On Him

Published

on

Buba Galadima, a prominent figure in the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), has called for an end to the “ethnic blame game” by insisting that Peter Obi should not be held responsible for the 1966 military coup. Speaking on Arise Television’s Prime Time programme, Galadima emphasized several key points regarding reconciliation and national unity:....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

    • Absence of Personal Responsibility: Galadima pointedly questioned the logic of blaming Peter Obi for the 1966 events, noting that Obi was not of age during that period and should not be made to “carry the cross of those who did it”.

    • Historical Precedents for Forgiveness: Referencing the late Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu, Galadima noted that even after the Nigerian Civil War, Ojukwu was pardoned and returned to participate in the democratic process, proving that reconciliation is possible.

    • Encouraging Constructive Dialogue: While acknowledging that building support for the Peter Obi-Rabiu Kwankwaso ticket has faced resistance, Galadima maintained that these challenges are not insurmountable. He drew a comparison to international diplomacy, suggesting that even rivals—such as the United States and Iran—can remain at the negotiation table despite ongoing conflict.

    • Focus on Reconciliation: Galadima urged Nigerians to prioritize constructive engagement over dwelling on historical ethnic grievances, arguing that such divisions hinder the country’s progress.
