Outrage As Benue Government Demolishes Tinubu Campaign Office In Makurdi.
Part of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s campaign office in Makurdi, Benue State, was demolished on Thursday by officials of the Benue State Urban Development Board, a development that has sparked outrage among members of the Ahmed Bola Tinubu Support Group.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
According to Nivo News, the demolished structure also served as the state secretariat of the support group and had its perimeter fence pulled down during the operation. The office had only recently been inaugurated in a ceremony attended by supporters from across Benue and neighbouring North-Central states.
The event was reportedly organised by Dr. Mathias Byuan, Executive Director of Housing, Finance and Accounts at the Federal Housing Authority, who also serves as the National Coordinator of the group.
Reacting to the demolition, the group’s Director-General, Dr. Tarnongo Simon, condemned the action, describing it as unjustifiable and politically motivated. He said members arrived at the office on Thursday morning only to discover that demolition had begun without prior notice.
Simon insisted that the secretariat had both a valid Certificate of Occupancy and an approved building plan issued by the same urban development board, stressing that the act would not deter their loyalty to President Tinubu or their resolve to strengthen the North Central region politically.
However, the Benue State Government dismissed claims of political victimisation, maintaining that the demolition was part of an ongoing road expansion project. In a statement issued by Governor Hyacinth Alia’s Chief Press Secretary, Kula Tersoo, the government explained that the removal of structures formed part of the Wurukum–Yaikyor–Apir–Ikpayongo road expansion, which is under the Makurdi–Enugu highway dualisation project supported by the Federal Government.
The statement added that only buildings without proper approvals or those sited on the designated right-of-way were affected. It cautioned against politicising the process, accusing certain individuals of attempting to stir public sentiment by painting political images or messages on structures marked for removal.
Despite the government’s defence, the demolition has reignited political tension between Governor Alia and the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator George Akume, deepening existing divisions within the state’s political circle.

FROM BEHIND BARS! Uwazuruike Drops Bombshell: Nnamdi Kanu Is Recruiting Igbo Youth For Violence From Prison!.
Ralph Uwazuruike, an agitator for the Biafran nation, has accused Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), of continuing to recruit Igbo youths for violent activities from his prison cell in Sokoto. -
Advocacy for Amnesty: He questioned why IPOB members cannot renounce violence and seek government amnesty and rehabilitation, similar to the programs offered to repentant terrorists and bandits in northern Nigeria.
-
Context of Allegations: Uwazuruike’s comments appear to be prompted by recent social media videos featuring hooded, armed militants who claim loyalty to Kanu and threaten further violence in the South East to secure his release.
-
Leadership Changes: These concerns also follow reports that Kanu has restructured his leadership team from prison and initiated a vague “100-man-project”.

Context of the Attack: MACBAN reported that Risku was killed shortly after attending a security meeting requested by Ohimini Local Government officials to discuss regional peace and stability.
-
The Incident: Approximately an hour after the meeting, Risku and an associate were intercepted and fatally shot in Okudu village.

-
Broader Impact: The association emphasized that targeting community leaders and peace advocates actively sabotages efforts toward dialogue and peaceful coexistence.
