Mr Jollof Warns Nigerians: “Trump Won’t Save You, He’ll Destroy Everything”.
Comedian and social commentator, Nelson Uchechukwu, widely known as Mr Jollof, has cautioned Nigerians against celebrating United States President Donald Trump’s recent remarks on the alleged killings and genocide in Nigeria.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
According to Nivo News, the entertainer expressed his disapproval through a series of Instagram stories, criticising those who believe Trump’s threats to intervene in Nigeria’s affairs would bring any form of relief or improvement.
Mr Jollof questioned why Nigerians would trust a leader who had previously made derogatory statements about Africa, warning that Trump’s renewed attention toward Nigeria is not motivated by goodwill. He insisted that any form of foreign interference would likely worsen the nation’s troubles rather than resolve them.
He further predicted that such intervention could result in sanctions, economic restrictions, and military actions that might lead to severe hunger, social instability, and potential occupation disguised as anti-terrorism operations.
In his words, “A president who once called an entire continent a sh*thole is suddenly interested in cleaning your specific kind of mess, and you think he now sees you differently? Dey play o. Nigerians think Trump is coming to bomb Boko Haram and leave. Sorry, first they’ll sanction Nigeria and impose an economic blockade, and many will die of hunger. Then he’ll fund terrorists to weaken the army before invading, massacring, and occupying.”
Mr Jollof’s statement came in response to Trump’s threat of military action in Nigeria, following allegations that Christians were being targeted by radical Islamist groups. The U.S. leader reportedly said he had ordered the American military to prepare for possible intervention and hinted that Nigeria could be designated as a “Country of Particular Concern” for failing to uphold religious freedom.
Trump also warned that Washington might suspend all forms of aid to Nigeria and would not hesitate to “go in guns blazing” if the Nigerian government failed to halt the killings.
His comments have sparked global debate, with many questioning the motives behind his strong statements. The Nigerian government, however, dismissed Trump’s claims as misleading and exaggerated, clarifying that the violence in Nigeria affects both Christians and Muslims, driven by terrorism, banditry, and long-standing farmer-herder conflicts rather than religion.

Atiku Opens Up On ADC 2027 Game Plan, Says Consensus Candidate Comes First.
Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has said the African Democratic Congress (ADC) will first pursue a consensus arrangement before considering a primary election for its 2027 presidential ticket.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
Atiku made this known during an interview on Arise Television on Wednesday while discussing the party’s leadership and strategy ahead of the next general election.
He said he is open to backing a consensus candidate if that becomes the party’s collective decision, stressing that such support should not be interpreted as stepping aside.
“It is not about stepping aside, but whether I am willing to support, and yes, I will,” Atiku said.
According to him, the ADC’s first priority is to build internal unity and reach an agreement among stakeholders before considering a competitive primary process.
“Our first option will be to work out a consensus. If that doesn’t happen, then of course we will explore other options. And yes, I will support whoever eventually emerges,” he stated.
Atiku also expressed confidence in the political experience within the party, saying he believes a consensus is achievable and may make a full-scale primary contest unnecessary.
“That remains our preferred path. We will go for primaries if consensus fails, but I honestly do not expect it to get to that stage because we are dealing with mature and experienced politicians,” he added.
His comments come amid growing political consultations and coalition talks as parties begin to position themselves ahead of the 2027 general elections.
