Fadahunsi To Osun Leaders: Don’t Sink With PDP’s Sinking Ship.
Senator Francis Fadahunsi, representing Osun East Senatorial District, has urged political office holders in Osun State and across Nigeria not to “sink” with the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), warning that the opposition party has lost direction amid its deepening leadership crisis.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
According to Nivo News, the lawmaker, who recently defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC) alongside two members of the House of Representatives, Sanya Omirin and Taofeek Ajilesoro, said his decision was motivated by the visible progress of President Bola Tinubu’s economic reforms.
Speaking to journalists in Ilase-Ijesa on Sunday, Fadahunsi praised the Tinubu administration for stabilizing the economy and delivering tangible results. He noted that although many in the opposition initially criticized the President’s policies, it has now become evident that the reforms are producing positive outcomes.
“When the President began his administration in 2023, some of us opposed his reforms, but today they are yielding results. That’s why we joined the APC,” he said.
The senator revealed that he has discussed developmental initiatives with the President, especially for his constituency, Ife/Ijesa, promising that the Federal Government would soon commence the rehabilitation of the Ibadan–Ile-Ife–Ilesa road, starting from the Ilesa end.
Fadahunsi appealed to his colleagues in the opposition to rally behind the government’s efforts, emphasizing that supporting Tinubu’s policies would accelerate growth at the grassroots level. “By next year, we will have reasons to smile,” he assured.
He further cautioned PDP members not to remain in what he described as a “sinking ship,” adding that the party has abandoned itself. “There is no future in PDP anymore. Political office holders should not try to create a path in a dead end. The APC is now the vehicle of development, and I urge all well-meaning leaders to join the moving train,” he stated.
