NSA Issues Stern Warning: ‘Violence Will Not Be Tolerated’ In Anambra Election.
According to Nivo News, the National Security Adviser (NSA), Nuhu Ribadu, has issued a strong warning to political actors and stakeholders ahead of the November 8, 2025, Anambra State governorship election, stressing that any form of violence will be firmly resisted.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
Speaking during a meeting of the Inter-Agency Consultative Committee on Election Security (ICCES) held at the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Headquarters in Abuja, the NSA, represented by the Director of Internal Security, Hassan Abdullahi, reaffirmed the Federal Government’s unwavering commitment to maintaining peace and order during the polls.
He urged political parties, candidates, and their supporters to uphold decorum, avoid inflammatory conduct, and ensure that the electoral process remains peaceful before, during, and after the exercise.
Ribadu emphasized that the government is actively collaborating with political leaders and community stakeholders to spread the message of peace and discourage any act of violence capable of destabilizing the state.
“We are engaging with political leaders and local stakeholders to send a clear message that violence will not be tolerated,” he stated.
The NSA also highlighted that his office is implementing President Bola Tinubu’s directive to strategically mobilize security forces across critical areas during the election period. He disclosed that measures such as enhanced surveillance, deployment of additional security personnel, and strengthened intelligence operations have been put in place to forestall any attempts by disruptive elements or desperate politicians to compromise the electoral process.
